Chance’s Story

In a dark, dank basement, a dog was abandoned by his owners when they moved away and left him there. Locked in that room, he had no food or water, and no bed.

Thankfully, a man inspecting the house for cleanout after the previous residents vacated it, decided to lift the trap door that led to the basement. The gent found Chance, huddled and afraid in the corner.

Chance was limping, so x-rays were taken by the veterinarian which showed a severely broken leg.

After surgery by an orthopedic veterinary surgeon, rehabilitation and special care by the staff at Animals In Distress, Chance recovered and is now a beautiful, loving, energetic dog. You would never know the two photos were of the same dog.
